What is dredging?

Dredging is the act of excavating material from a water environment and will include applications like improving existing water features; reshaping the land and water features to alter drainage, navigability, and commercial use; construct dams, dikes, and other controls for streams and shorelines; and to recover valuable mineral deposits or marine life having commercial value.

Why is process measurement needed?

Due to the abrasive dredging flows, magnetic flowmeters are known to fail in these environments. Our non-contacting doppler technology measures these abrasive flows from the outside of the pipe, has no moving parts, and requires zero process downtime. This means no required maintenance or wear and tear risks. Our doppler technology covers a wide range of pipe sizes and materials.
