Your Role

The Senior Technical Support Specialist manages inbound phone calls and e-mails from customers, representatives and consulting engineers and is the subject matter expert on Pulsar Measurement products. In addition, they will initiate calls to customers to ask about technical issues with respect to orders, installations, and product concerns. 

The individual will support the sales team with virtual and onsite training sessions for representatives and customers on a wide range of Pulsar products and assist with webinars and trade shows.  Therefore, the ability to communicate clearly is crucial for this position as the individual will need to liaise with engineers and quality and product management teams.  

This position requires a very service-oriented person, who enjoys helping customers resolve their measurement challenges and brings expertise to Pulsar Measurement products.

Your Responsibilities

      • Developing and maintaining strong technical and applications expertise with all Pulsar products.
      • Maintaining expertise with Pulsar’s technical support systems, Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process, Quality Databases, and Engineering Change Notifications (ECN).
      • Handling technical support calls and troubleshooting on new and existing product installations.
      • Tracking and analyzing technical concerns and escalating issues to the engineering team and product management team as needed.
      • Reading and comprehending engineering specifications.
      • Performing onsite and virtual training sessions.
      • Supporting the Regional Sales Managers and Sales Application Engineers with advanced technical expertise and training sessions for high profile projects.
      • Working cooperatively and providing feedback to the Product Management, Engineering, Quality, and Marketing teams with respect to the development of technical documentation, product improvements, and new product ideas.
      • Participating in corporate training seminars, webinars, and tradeshows.

      ·         Performing any other duties or responsibilities as requested by Supervisor or Manager.

Travel

Travel is based on demand when conditions allow. Travel includes but is not limited to regions, factories, offices, customer locations and suppliers.

Your background

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Strong track record developing and maintaining positive relationships with service customers and sales partners.
  • Inherent electrical instrumentation knowledge and experience, ideally within the water/waste water industry
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as current MRP, ERP and CRM systems
  • Shows leadership qualities.
  • Excellent problem solving and time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (engineering, business, technical) and / or 5+ years technical experience
  • Past technical experience with corporate technical training
  • Experience working with ECN and Quality Management programs
  • Awareness of Communication Protocol (SCADA, MODBUS, Profibus)
  • Collaborates well within a teamwork environment
